can EP5's built-in flash triggers optical slave ?

hi guys, does anyone know if the built-in flash of EP5 can trigger this thing if I stick this to the built-in flash ? some built-in flash is not powerful enough to trigger these. even 1mm close. Have a chance to get ep5 cheap, so I'd like to find out about this first. any help is greatly appreciated

Yes, it can but you will have to set it to Manual and adjust the power level otherwise you will trigger the slave with the pre-flashes.

I would think so:

I use these slaves:

They are capable of running very high voltage old flashes with no problems and seem quite sensitive.

I also use the built in optical trigger on my Nissin with no problems.

As others have said, you just have to avoid the pre-flash situation.
