Best aftermarket battery for T6s/M6/SL2?

As you know most aftermarket batteries for the latest Rebels would show a warning message when powered on and no battery life indicator. The aftermarket batteries for the old T2i/T3i/60D had no problem.

Anybody found any aftermarket LP-E17 batteries that doesn't give the warning messages and actually shows in the camera how much of the battery are left? Decoded?

As you all already know the latest Canon mirrorless cameras share the same battery as the latest Rebels. I just sold my T6S and the new SL2 arrived. It's a beauty. So small and lightweight. Waiting on my 35mm f2.8 Macro IS STM.

Re: Best aftermarket battery for T6s/M6/SL2?

In the past, I have had very good luck with Wasabi batteries and chargers.  Unfortunately, for my own T6s, I have been unable to find any truly decoded aftermarket batteries.  None that I have seen will communicate properly with the camera and will not show the remaining charge.  Apparently the Canon microchip on these camera wants to see a Canon battery, and the non-Canon batteries have not yet been able to provide 100% compatibility.  If you don't mind the loss of the remaining battery charge feature, they should work fine.  Personally, I went with another Canon battery.  If someone eventually comes out with a decoded replacement, I might try it if it offers increased capacity over the OEM unit.
