Canon EOS Rebel SL2/200D/Kiss X9: Worth It
1

I bought the DSLR from Amazon on July 21, and it arrived on July 24. After leaving photography for a while and switching from my personal Nikon D3000 to this, I personally think it's a good upgrade.

I'm sure every one here is aware of the specs, but I just want to say that the Dual Pixel AF System is really great and makes up for the lack of focus points (and cross-type focus points).

My view of this DSLR is that it's a vloggers/social media camera. With more than double the battery life of the SL1, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC; this is perfect. I managed to upload my RAW image to Instagram in less than 20 seconds through the official Android app. However, I am not sure if the RAW file is compressed/converted when uploading to a smartphone, because it took me more than 2 minutes to upload a single RAW file to my PC (EOS Utility 3).

As a vlogging DSLR, I recommend these lenses:

- EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5 - 5.6 IS STM (Wide-angle for video)

- EF-S 18-55mm f/4 - 5.6 IS STM (Kit lens, general use)

- EF 50mm f/1.8 STM (Bokeh!)

- EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III (cheap tele) or EF-S 55-250mm IS STM (better quality)

While using the DSLR, I do have a few problems which can be fixed through the custom configuration menu. I pressed the DISP button to turn off the display which seemed to turn off accidental touchscreen taps when using the OVF.

Conclusion, I love this camera. The design, size, and weight is great despite being heavier than the SL1. However, the grip might be a little bit small for some people (I have small fingers).
