NX300 can't enable Focus Peaking and use MF assist.

Hey there, just got a NX300, and was really excited to use it with my analogue prime lens. Sadly the 'OK' button for MF assist is not working, plus in the FP menu I can only choose the color but can't activate it (menu option stays dark grey) - any clues of what's going on? Just upgraded to last firmware 1.45. Please help!

Which option is greyed out? I don't have an NX300 but in the Nx500 there are 2 options: Level and Color; there is no On/Off for Focus Peaking. There is one for MF Assist. Is it the Level menu that's greyed?

Re: NX300 can't enable Focus Peaking and use MF assist.

UPDATE: I figured out why I can't enable MF assist - it's basically because I'm using the 'no lens' option from the developers menu, as my (bad) analogue lens adapter couldn't press the pin for lens recognition - for the camera there's still not lens attached tho, therefore keeps the MF assist disabled. Real bummer that no one giving the 'no lens cheat' workaround made a point regarding this important limitation. In any case, if there are other 'cheat codes' intervening on debugger or firmware to let the MF assist enable also with the 'no lens' option, that would be of great help (please no 'put some tape on the adapter or the pin', as I already done it and it's not a solution ideal for my photography jobs).

The 'Level' one, that works also as a ON/OFF switch for the FP.

Wouldn't the ideal solution be getting an adapter that works?

What guarantees me I won't waste other money on another incompatible one? Not easy to find in retail shops where I can try them, been advised to order on Amazon by them actually.

K&F Concept

I have a few Fontasy adapters for NX and all of them work perfectly. I bought a Fotodiox and it had the same issue as your K&F. Bought from Amazon.

That is really weird, I consider K&F Concept as a better solution than the no name ones (which I have a lot anyway, and they work fine as well). I have FD/M42 ones that are ok.
