Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F2.8 Pro

This is just a very very useful focal length for my kind of subjects.
150mm is amazing for serious portraits. It is so nice to handle.
A one time investment that will last you a long time.
Now that MFT bodies are getting better and better. It is worth the investment.
The Sharpness and AF. Really makes the MFT format so enjoyable.
Everytime I got to test it, Even at the few days of using it.. I manage to get some keepers...
The only problem is it really out of my budget right now.
With that said it is worth the money...
It is just a matter of time before I have this lens...

Robert, the next step is to try it with the 1.4x TC.

Great lens. This one comment summed it up for me, just like it did for you - The only problem is it really out of my budget right now. 😐

The only thing that keeps me from buying this lens is the reports of bokeh being on the nervous side, i.e. busy.

Try it with extension tubes

Here's a couple from this morning. I absolutely LOVE this lens. If it wasn't so big and heavy, I'd take it and the 7-14 and 12-40 on trips abroad, but they're just too much for me to carry. So I'll use the 7-14 and 12-100 for that (along with the 8mm fisheye).

The 40-150 is one of my most used lenses (along with the 60mm macro, 300mm f4, 12-40mm Pro, 8mm fisheye, and 7-14mm Pro).

Damselfly shot with extension tubes - nice smooth bokeh at f8

Damselfly shot a little closer but still with extension tubes
