Hello Paul,
the 30 per 500 keeper shot ratio makes me feel much better after my efforts at Duxford yesterday....which have probably yielded a similar ratio...but with less impressive results. Can you tell me what shutter speed you were using, looks well below the 1/250th I opted for. The pictures posted are excellent and I note the shallow depth of field on the Harvard and Spitfire twin shots.

Yes look on my flickr album headcorn most of of them shot at 1/80th a lot of my shots where thrown due to shooting in between statics whilst landing and taking off made panning and focus a issue also not only statics but crew and photographers in the way not the public but privileged photographers my excuse anyway
Others i could keep anything over 1/250th but not desired effect for blur (prop) ,yes i tried to not shoot higher than f8 as most m43 lenses will get into diffraction territory ,but yes at low s/s the keeper rate is low anything under 1/250th is challenging ,bring on the jets fast s/s and quick reactions .
I also set my omd em1 mk2 for corrections ibis S-1S2 in for panning in landscape orentation although i could not be sure it made a real difference ,i have this set to function button anyway so can swap between ibis settings on the fly
The other factor of full prop blur is the position on the sun relative to the prop i think the direction of light hits the prop the plane has to be flying into the sun?
this weeks latest amateur photographer has a good article on shooting airshows (moose peterson)
This is the first time i managed to get near full prop blur so i am no expert
trevor on this forum is much more experienced than me at airshows and could give better advice and knowledge a good aviation authority .
