ep5 usb wire question

Well I cant find my oly ep-5 camera lead. I tried a few standard USB leads but couldn't get it to fit. Now before I go an push a little harder or try and stretch the sides of the port a little I thought I would check if there is anything special or non standard about the oly lead.

Thanks in advance.

Yes. It is a proprietary cable that supports A/V output. Do not try to force a standard mini or micro usb cable in.

Re: ep5 usb wire question

I bought a remote shutter release recently, found the mini USB a bit tight, so I grinded all the sides of the cable's mini USB on fine sand paper a bit, now goes in and out easily, works fine. do make sure you clean the dust off the plug thoroughly before using.
