ep5 charge batteries in the car

Anyone know if there is a 12v adapter for my olympus ep5 with original batteries.

Thanks.

Yes, I've used the one by Wasabi. Includes charger, 12V adapter, and 2 BLN-1 batteries. Works great.

Re: ep5 charge batteries in the car

If your car already has a USB port, or you already have a 12v to USB charger lying around then the size and flexibility of a USB charger might be a good way to go.

Many people seem pleased with this one by "OAproda"

There are other brands with similar USB chargers as well such as Kastar or DSTE.

For the traditional plug-in type with car adapter, I've had excellent luck with a brand called DOT-01. Their chargers handle my GM-series and E-M10 Mark II batteries (both OEM and 3rd-party) and have swap-able trays (so you only need to bring one base). Sadly, I don't see the BLN-1 in their catalog, but Kastar does make a BLN variant that is exactly like what DOT-01 has on offer:

Thanks.

Any of the many third party chargers that run off 12V in the car or are USB style and run off 5V USB outlet will only charge the battery to the usual common 8.4V limit instead of the 8.7V of the E-P5 OEM batteries.

No harm done, just a few less shots per charge if you always insist on taking batteries to the red alert. The upside is that batteries will age slower with a lower top charge so may last a few more years than usual.

I have been using a USB charger for my E-P5 OEM batteries for some time now and have never had a problem. In Oz I bought a couple of these chargers, just the chargers and not those batteries in my case. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Battery-USB-charger-for-Olympus-OM-D-E-M5-PEN-E-P5-EP5-/141757799013
