SX730 HS. Full Review up at Cameralabs.com

The review is surprisingly good  for still image quality - even when compared with the Panasonic Lumix TZ90 / ZS70. Of course, the Lumix has more bells and whistles, including an electronic viewfinder, touchscreen, raw format shooting, ability to change focal point and 4K video (not something I care about).

I cannot say I fancy using 40x on a rear screen without a viewfinder. Canon do need to try to develop all the features of a camera concurrently, not just the easy bits.

A Wifi or Bluetooth mini-EVF sliding in to a contactless hot shoe mount would be one way to get around the problem at minimum cost.
