10 Days in Hong Kong with the 50mm F2
1

Here are some photos I've taken with my Full Spectrum Fuji X-T10 & 50mm F2 along with various filters.

Day 1, walking around the neighbourhood

Day 2, walking near Victoria harbour on Central side

Day 2, hiked up to The Peak, before taking tram down.

Day 2, After the tram ride down.

Day 3, Hiking up the 2nd highest mountain in Hong Kong, over 900metres. All cloudy and no visibility.

Day 3, Central side of Victoria harbour. Paid the guy HK$20 so he wouldn't mind me taking his picture.

Day 4, walking in the rain. A couple of blocks from my hotel.

Day 4, Tsim Sha Tsui, next to Victoria Harbour

Day 5, Insider Bar in WanChai on a Saturday night.

Re: 10 Days in Hong Kong with the 50mm F2

we were in Hong Kong about 2 years ago - the haze or pollution was so bad i didn't even take my camera out of the hotel. In the recent decades haze is a constant problem in asian countries -  landowners would prefer to clear their land by burning it down instead of spending extra money on properly (environmentally) clearing the land.

I didn't have a problem with haze, just rain, rain and more rain! Typhoons and storms as well! So I haven't really seen a blue sky here yet! And rest of my trip is going to rain as well!

Sounds like the conditions weren't ideal and I'm not sure about the filters you used but colors, especially greens, look strange on my monitor.

In the film days I used filters (sparingly) but, for the most part, gave them up when I finally switched to digital because post processing programs give me better control over the final results.

ND or polarizing filters  still come in handy but anything that drastically changes the white balance appearance/color just hasn't worked very well for me.

Only wanted to comment on this and don't mean to be critical.

Sorry, I should have mentioned what I used for each photo.

Photos 2 & 3 used a visable bandpass filter

Photo 5 used no filter, so the camera was getting UV, IR and Visible light all in one (full spectrum camera)

Day 7 - A walk though the park at night

Day 8 - This shot cracks me up

Day 9, Disneyland. Framing needs work, she was posing while taking a selfie! I cut off her right hand unfortunately.

Day 10 - Hong Kong Airport. Waiting for my plane ride home!

I thought the haze problem from the fires was in Singapore.

Could be, the weather was just so bad with all the rain and typhoons going on. Though it did start cleaning up on my last day there, while I was waiting at the airport.
