NXmini: the Cosmetic Selfie Camera challenge
1

being known as the smallest mirrorless in the market to date, it is often regards as same tier as Casio TRs selfie ripoffs or SONY KW11

but are they really the same (crap) as mini?

I first bought this camera from an online re-seller as Anniversary gift to my selfie loving girlfriend. She first love it heaps, taking photos with food, IG all the time and do all the unrealistic selfie shots. Well, not until she bought an Samsung S7 and NXmini is long forgotten.....

I then ask why her not using the NXmini, she then repied

"It's too hard to use, cannot zoom, and my S7 can take selfie same as good. I can also share my beauty shots and gain "likes" in no time!"

Feeling offended and frustrated

I took her NXmini one night and start teaching her proper lesson in street photography

Here's what i got:

taken with Samsung NXmini 9mm Kit

I can see some potential in this camera, and is considering buying the 17mm and 9-27mm zoom lens.

Any suggestion?

I have the 9-27 lens, it's 3.5-5.6f, not he best for low light. Still good if you need/want the extra reach. I decided against getting other Samsung lenses because they stopped making cameras and I rather save the money for a system I can grow with...

Don't feel offended, it's quite common for non enthusiast to prefer smartphones. That's how I got mine cheap, the first owner bought a point and shoot which she fount easier to use. The auto mode of my NX mini tends to over/under expose photos, so not he best camera for the 'I just want to take the picture" kind of person. But with its 1" sensor and features is more capable than a smartphone.

Yea mate, the camera is actually quite competent in taking serious photos. But its non-professional look & handling may just fend off every enthusiast from trying.

I experienced similar problem when using auto so rather use P, A, S, M modes instead.

and yes, i also got mine cheap for similar reason. Now waiting for another non-enthusiast to sell their 9-27mm / 17mm kits dirt cheap.
