S5 Pro auto-ISO?

Yes, I've read the manual.

My preferred way to shoot is with Manual Mode and Auto-ISO so I choose the f/stop and shutter speed while the camera chooses the ISO.

1. Will this work with the S5 in single exposure mode?

2. Will this work with Exposure Bracketing?

Silly questions for a modern camera but the S5 came out at about the time when camera makers were just starting to offer these options.

Thanks,
Bill

Re: S5 Pro auto-ISO?

No reply needed for me. Had bids on the S5 (lost) and X-T1 (won).

I realize you did not need a reply and after reading the manual you realized there is no Auto ISO for probably a couple of reasons.  First, the mindset "back then" is the ISO is something the photographer has in the back of his/her mind as a variable and is determined as part of the imaging process.....along with the other factors.  For me, I still determine, even though the ranges have expanded widely, what ISO I want and set it directly.  It is mindfulness of the entire process and allows me to slow down and think about what I am shooting.

Second, and closely related and probably the main reason......the ISO is only from 100 - 3200.  Easier to think about. -:)

Re: S5 Pro auto-ISO?

We only get to choose two of the three settings assuming we want properly exposed images. I prefer to choose shutter speed and f/stop and let the camera choose ISO. For me the result is a much higher percentage of keepers.
