samsung ex2f in 2017. why?

if you can get samsung ex2f for cheaps, say $50, would you want to get it? and why ? and why you wouldn't ?

Why buy it at all if you don't take outdoor photos? Let someone else take the photos. haha.

I would get it as a spare.  My ex2f is my only camera.  The articulating view finder, low light performance, and pocket size are great features.  I have never had a problem with it in the years I have owned it.

It`s got to be a good camera to keep in your vehicle for those times when you failed to have your best camera with you.

I sold mine and have regrets. I've been looking for another but they don't come around often and rarely under £150. $50 is a steal.

I would get one at that price.  The main point is that it can be taken everywhere and still performs decently in low light.   There are some other great options for this these days... but not for only 50 quid.

Every time I have looked they were much more expensive.

First of all, I have the EX-2F and I love that camera.  It's one of the finest enthusiast models utilizing the 1/1.,7" sensor that I've used (and I've used quite a few of them).

The camera is built like a little tank, has superb definition and and render colors superbly.  And as you questioned, even today, I would not hesitate to get this camera (provided it's in great condition of course).

For me, I find that using the Average Metering option in the EX-2F as opposed to Samsung's multi-segment metering is superior in keeping the hi-lights in check.  But the colors, the ergonomics, and overall IQ of this camera still makes it relevant today.  The 12 MP's on this EX-2F are excellent ones.  I'm glad to have gotten my paws on this camera and it's one of those "keepers" that is staying in my collection.
