A portrait of Nila
7

Hello everyone,

Hope you are well.

I wanted to share an photo I took of Nila. The sun was setting and the light was different, I grabbed some nice images of her. Here is one:

http://www.mf-photography.com/People/i-ScjgxX7

Taken using Pentax K-3 + Pentax 50-135mm F/2.8 lens. I am normally used to Nikon, but it was quite fun shooting with a Pentax. K-3 and the lens is a nice combo for portraits.

Enjoy and I'd appreciate some feedback

Have a great day!

Manzur, some really nice portraits. That looks like a super lens for such photography. I prefer the slightly softer focus on the close-up shots(I don't like them to be so sharp that you see pores not a pleasant smooth skin).

Good job, Tom W(ret)

You're the fellow who captures such startling eyes!

On this one however you are a bit front focused.

VEry nice set of pictures.

I think you would get great results whatever the equipment is in your hand.

Quite a diversity of models too... Guess you live in a multicultural city?

So what's you ususal photo equipment ? ( assuming you used the K3 for testing purposes only ? )

Cheers

Thank you Chris :), much appreciated. I always do want to get the eyes sharp, that is where the main story is.

This one I missed a bit, true. This was taken on the first day of using K-3 and it took me a while to grasp the focus mechanism.

Thank you very much Younes, much appreciated. I live in UK, so yes, quite a diversity here

My usual gears are Nikon D810, and I mostly use three lenses: Nikon 105mm F/1.4E, Nikon 200mm F/2G VRII and the Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Macro VC.

K-3 I tried out and now I really want to try out the K-1

Thank you. I shoot using natural light only. Lenses do help

Manzur,
When I look at your portraiture work I see a celebration of female beauty. And you are very very good with this. Kudos.

Hello Manzur,

You must have an exceptional rapport with people that they are so relaxed and trusting. Very fine work too.

Nic.
