More soccer fun

with the E-M1 and 40-150 f2.8

Just loving the combination. Very responsive and I'm not having any trouble keeping track of the subject in the viewfinder.

I have a preset setup for sports assigned to the SCN spot on the dial. It turns on JPEG mode (for continuous shooting buffer size), C AF, continuous shooting high, 9 area focus points centered side to side in the frame and a little nearer the top than the bottom, shutter priority.

Most of the parents have no decent shots of their sons playing soccer.

My favorite shot of my son over the weekend because he pulled off a nice move to beat the defender inside with a chop move.

This was part of a sequence where one of our players drew a penalty in the box that led to a PK goal.

An idea of the focusing ability, keeping up with a player running at the camera.

I always enjoy the gravity defying shots.

Spring season kicked off last weekend so it's back on the sidelines for us, too. I have more rust to shake off than the players!

Rick
