Double images from an Olympus 75/1.8 - Damaged lens?

I recently bought a second hand 75/1.8 and have noticed in some shots double images. For example this crop from the top of the frame:

Out of focus tree branch with Olympus 75/1.8 - faulty lens?  f/1.8

Is this normal for this lens? Or is it indicative of a problem with my copy?

Thanks

- Richard

What does the full image look like.  It is not unusual for many lenses to show doubling of things like small branches/trigs which are just outside the focus field, but too close to be completely blurred.  It is generally not noticed unless there are lots of these.  See attached Cooper's Hawk.

Re: Double images from an Olympus 75/1.8 - Damaged lens?

That is something I've seen.

Olympus Technical support suggested I try without my UV0 filter. I've been doing this and so far so good, though I note that the problem is hard to reproduce even with the filter.

I'll keep and eye in it.
