Pretty cool for a $100 lens

One of the surprises in the m43 world, often available for 99 bucks. While not super fast or well built (treat with care), the value (IQ/$) of this thing is unbeatable. Small and light too.

O rly?

It's probably been said/reviewed 1000x. So why not one more?

Nice shot, where was it taken?

By the way, I started a thread on this lens last year and the replies were all extremely favorable. I am convinced that the 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 lens especially at this $99 price is one of the best bangs for the buck in the entire m43 lens ecosystem!

The only thing that is upsetting is that I overpaid as there were several $99 sales after I purchased it.

I agree.  I was surprised how well it did in an indoor concert from way in the back on an EPL5 set to ISO 2000.

At a raptor show ("Falkenhof") located at a castle in Germany. Another example for the IQ of the lens at full tele:

Yup, totally agree. Considering that the Pro version is, what, 12-14x that price, and weights almost 2 lbs, I have zero interest in that. Of course everyone is different.

Fantastic shot, mate.

I bought one just recently. AUD$185. The shop also discounted two bags I bought by 30% each. I'm happy with this lens, both for price and IQ.

The lens hood from my FTs 40-150 MkII fits it, and so does the Hoya HMC filter ...
