Ring Flash for Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm f2.8

Hi,

I am looking for a ring flash for the Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm marco lens (46mm filter threads), on an Olympus E-M10.

If possible, please provide links to ring flash and any required adapters.

Cheers,

Mohamed

Depends on your budget but Here is the Olympus ring flash and Here is the adapter for the 60mm macro lens. I have both these and they work 100% fine. I'm sure there are cheaper options these days including continuous led lighting

Have you tried the onboard flash? My wife has an EM10 amd 60 macro. It does quite well.

Thank you, dav, for your response.

The Olympus ring flash is ridiculously expensive. I have seen many other ring flashes on amazon that are between US$35 and US$100. My only issue is with adapter rings. I am not sure about the size of the adapter required, or about the quality of those flashes.

Mohamed, have you considered a bit of DIY. Assuming you have some kind of external flash { may even work with an on-board flash } . Making one is pretty straightforward and you can tweak it to your exact needs

No prob Mo.

i picked mine up off fleabay some years back for a reasonable price. I guess the thing is it is 100% compatible with Olympus cameras and is very reliable and well made. I use mine for a time lapse of a dragon fruit flower opening and it worked well, the fl50r drained the batteries before the time lapse was up, I tried several times with fresh charged batteries and got the same result, fl50r didn't make ring flash did.

the older Om ring flashes work to or if it doesn't have to be a "ring" flash if you can find a coking creative flash system they work extremely well and can be adapted to any lens you can fit a cokin adapter on
