Re: Auto Takumar 55mm f2.2

I may have slightly misled you - that picture was taken with the earlier preset 55/2.2 (which is a different optical design than the Auto Takumar, and under-appreciated in comparison with the preset 55/2).

I do, however own both types, and the Auto Takumar is also a very fine lens, IMO.

(edit - & I would be very interested to see how it performs on the Sony.)

Gaffer's shadow

I liked the shapes, the light and the shadow the sunlight made with the roll of gaffer tape on the carpet. Pointless and indulgent fun with a 50 yr old Zeiss Jena 135 lens

KR2 ?   I remember it well..

It was a Pentax K bayonet mount... when Pentax MESuper was about but couldn't afford!

I wanted a Nikon FE but that was way out of the park...  I did get a Nikon EM though.

Nostalgia eh?

nice shots

with the mc tele rokkor HF 300mm f4.5. i'm pretty pleased with myself for this, handheld at 1/100s (rule says 1/600s) also pleasantly surprised no CA's (which this lens is typically horrible for esp. in low low light) sooc jpeg

harvested and refitted from a Konica rangefinder (fixed lens) the Hexanon 45mm f1.8 is a rather sharp lens. Here is my version of the "brick wall" tests shot, on an Olympus E-P5

Wonderful textures and earth tones. Beautiful shot. What kind of tree is that? It is the bark of a tree, right?

thank you. You are right: what to me looks obviously a tree bark now, years ago would have not. Northern hemisphere trees don't shed the bark like that. All I know it's a gumtree (evergreen), but the exact species is unknown to me; maybe Tom knows?

Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 on m43

The first convincing signs of spring coming. We've had so many gloomy days that yesterday's sunshine was very refreshing.

I bought the Micro-Nikkor 55/2.8 exactly for this kind of shots - hand-held close-ups of flowers and such. It's doing fine, I think.

Re: - March 2017_Hexanon 45mm f1.8

we have some trees here in the top half of globe that shed very similiar to that (i'll post one) but they deciduous (because i dont know what specifically so couldnt say) not coniferous. it also may well be that they're not native, i'm kinda curious now though. we're on the north edge of carolinian forest here and i'm originally from north of superior so more than half species here are a blank to me.

British Museum, Great Court. Tricky to focus and I think I missed it a bit here, but I like the colours (auto PP in Irfanview!).

I was kneeling in the mud trying to get some shot when I felt someone was looking at me.

Great AF with this lens and Fotodiox adapter I must say.
