Lenticular 3D Prints

Hi everyone, I never see much talk about lenticular 3d prints. I mostly see posts using the cross eyed method or anaglyphs. I wanted to share my lenticular 3D prints. I use a slide bar and the Triaxes 3D master kit software.

Ok. Awesome!!!

But where do you get the lenticular screens?

And what is required to print the image to put behind the lenticular screen?

Take care & Happy Shooting!

Re: Lenticular 3D Prints

I get the lenses from vuethru.com. Any color printer will do. You don't need a long slide bar like mine. I use a long one for infrared 3D Lenticular landscapes. You also don't really need a camera that shoots 10fps. Any camera will do. you can even use your phone. I plan on doing some shots with my Google Pixel next week.

For my last 2 portraits I used 4-6 photos. I rarely use 12-40 photos but when you use a lot of frames you can get some amazing depth and even see around the subject/objects.

Nice one.

I used to send my old Nimslo film to US but sadly all went in coma.

Any 3D lenticular processors/printers? Currently I have Fujifilm 3D W3.

Thanks.

Re: Lenticular 3D Prints

I've wanted a W3 for a while just to Mrs around and see the results on the screen. For high quality lenticular prints you need to use more frames. As for software I recommend Triaxes 3D master kit which is what I use and can do anything you need. I just buy the 3D lenticular sheets and print the files on glossy paper. You could probably use the Fuji on a slide bar and take several frames or you can just about use any camera.

Here's a lenticular print I made today using 11 frames:

Btw if anyone is interested in taking their 3D photography to the next level, I'm selling my slide bar and my Triaxes 3D master kit for next to nothing. I'll also include 10 8x10" 3D frames. You don't have to stick them with adhesive or laminate them. They just slide right in.

Re: Lenticular 3D Prints

Hi,

It's easy, you send me the mpo. file and is done.

If prefer to do yourself, start here: www.triaxes.com from lenticular software.

3D lenticular lens can buy from "Lenstar" or "DPLenticular"...

For more informations about lenticular printing go to Yutube, sure can explain

better than me.

Cheers

Have a 3d setting on the ts3 but never used it.

Whats a side bar?

Google the master kit not clear what that is - see the end product however. How long does it take to use after you done the photos?

Hi there,

I commented on your YouTube videos. So could you please send me the triaxes 3d master kit full version for free ? I really appreciate if you can help me.

Thanks!

When taking the pictures, always keep the camera straight ahead. Never turn the camera towards the object.

Re: Lenticular 3D Prints

What is your intended workflow?

I played with Triaxes StereoTracer several years ago.

At least at that time you were able to use the downloadable demo version while you don't save/load projects. E.g. you can load a stereopair, generate and save intermediate perspectives. What you cannot do, is to save the project for further modifications - when you close the application, everything is lost.

But for the interlacing you had to take another software; there is more choice though.

Don't expect miracles with synthesized intermediate frames. Some images work fine, some - don't. You can make several successful prints, but I'd not build on it as the output for stereo photography.

You are in the different field if you photograph with slidebar and thus make as many original frames as needed. But then you don't need StereoTracer.

Frankly, if you want to print stereo photos on a digital printer, the parallax-barrier approach (with transparency as the media) sounds to me more reasonable, though I didn't yet try myself.

If you can read Russian, look here: http://www.3dmix.com/rus/articles/bscreen/

Regards,

Oleg.
