I know this is an old thread but I've been trying to get any flash to work on the gx7. I have studio lights, lots of transmitters, not even the single pin transmitter I have will work on my gx7.

Single-pin should work. If it doesn't, I'd suspect the hotshoe isn't working.

Every time I mount a flash trigger in the hotshoe it switches to ttl, cant put it in manual mode. What's up with that, you cant control a manual off camera flash? ...

No. My GX7 and Godox Xpro-O can set my flashes to M and use them that way.

Re: Neil...

How do you know your are in TTL mode?

On GX7, it has various flash modes from forced flash, slow syn etc but  no option to select TTL, and flash Adjust only. I have to set TTL or M on my flash. I use Godox TT350O.

With a Godox TT350-O? Because it says so on the flash's LCD.

You set TTL for the group on the transmitter, not in the camera.

I have to set TTL or M on my flash. I use Godox TT350O.

Well, if you're using it in either the S1 or S2 ("dumb") optical slave mode you can only use  M. The GX7's menus will give you the choice of TTL or M if the TT350-O is mounted directly on the hotshoe.

S1/S2, however are manual only and are not at all compatible with the Panasonic/Olympus "RC" wireless ("smart" optical) communication with the GX7's pop-up flash, which is what the wireless flash settings in the camera are for. You can only use those with the pop-up flash and a Panasonic/Olympus or 3rd party flash that speaks RC (e.g., an FL-360L). Godox gear doesn't do that.

To use a TT350-O wirelessly in TTL with a GX7, you need a Godox radio transmitter on your camera's hotshoe so you can use the TT350-O's radio transceiver to remote control it.

Re: Neil...

Thanks kli for your info. I think I know it already. Thanks anyway.

My response to Philip Sustachek was just because I was curiose to know where on GX7 he could know the camera was in TTL mode. 🤔
