The G1X and G1X mk II might be old, but they are great! 😎 The large sensor gives a big edge with DSLR quality...definitely consider despite age, because new with smaller sensor isn't necessarily better...!

Not really. The G16 is nearly identical to the G15 and the G1 X2 is old.

The g1x ii  is a natural step up from the g5x, just like the g1x was a step up from the g12 (they were both out at the same time).

Either g5x or g1x ii would be a fine replacement/upgrade from a g15.
