I've often talked about...
6

...the various color tonality differences between brands.  This distinct color tonality was more prevalent prior to several years ago (which is the case in your sample).  Many of the brands have lessened this color tonality gap in more recent releases.

For example, at first the eye is drawn to the Panny (G1) colors because they initially appear richer.  It is however when you truly look at both scenes, once can see that the Panny introduces quite a Magenta shift which significantly alters and darkens the tones of the asphalt highway (and other parts of the scene).  The NX10, in this case, although initially appearing bland upon first glance, quickly makes you realize that in reality, this was a natural view of that scene.

For me, there is very little you can tell about a camera from a photo, most of it is down to the lens. Out of camera jpegs are just the whim of some technician, you can go into settings and alter them to taste. You can’t tell from a photo how the camera feels and responds. The only thing I get from the photo is that the 4/3 is a bit noisier than the APSc. My NX1000 camera takes photos that are blue tinted, so does my NX10 but not so much. You can see it in your second set of photos, but it is easily fix. My Pentax camera takes better out of camera jpegs but I prefer using my NX10 and fixing any colour issues.

I bought the NX10 when it first came out and it is still my favourite camera from several I own. I didn’t like the deeper grips they put on later cameras and the general increase in size. If I could swap the sensor in it for a modern one I’d be very happy.

Lumix G1 (2008) / Samsung NX 10 (2010)

the nostalgia....i remember getting a G10, and returning it cause the ISO performance was just awful.

i remember getting the NX10...and it wasn't the best, but it was just right, and the ergonomics felt so much better despite having a flatter grip style.

i got my nx10 in 2010...now still using an nx1 i got in 2015. i'm still a young person, but it's crazy to think I can be one of  those people who talk about their 10 year old camera that still works fine :D....we'll see if i can be one of those people who say that about a 30 year old camera.... ha

Does the NX1 have a deeper grip than the NX10? The only Samsung bodies I've ever purchased were the NX1 and the NX500. I find the NX1 body gip very comfortable for my heavy Samsung lenses e.g. 16-50mm S, 50-150 S, 18-200mm, and 85mm prime.
