cold lightshow
18

a gallery of images mainly collected during the last two winters (due to the lack of snow) even though some of them are older (all the images are taken using dp1s, dp2, sd15, dp2m)

http://photografeet.org/coldcolors.html

I already posted some of these images in this forum, but a lot of them are "new" and I feel now the collection quite smooth, I hope you do not find this partial re-post as too irritating

C&C welcome

Re: cold lightshow

Thank you so much for sharing these, it's very rare to find such a strong set of images, they're all beautifully captured and processed! Each of them is compelling in their own right but viewed as a set, incredible. Stunning work, you've got a great eye.

Cheers,

Tom.

Re: cold lightshow

Hi Claudio,

Beautiful set, particularly number 54 and 50. The whole set consistently shows the beauty of frozen water. The two photos I mention are absolutely great pieces of abstract photography and still show the organic forms of nature.

Thanks for sharing.

Re: cold lightshow

many thanks Tom, I'm happy you appreciated the series, I spend more time in choosing and ordering photos (especially when they span along several years) than in post processing them

Re: cold lightshow

many thanks Farhad... the majority of these photos are taken in the shade cone of some mountain... this does not help, but when it is sunny I enjoy when I exit the cone... the worst is the cold and strong wind, l still remember the feeling when I shoot image 2

I'm waiting for some new image from you

Re: cold lightshow

grazie Marco... I saw that you are enjoying and obtaining very good results with the new 12-24 lens, unfortunately for me is too heavy, big, and expensive, and probably not justified for my low resolution sd15

Re: cold lightshow

many thanks Daniel, I particularly appreciated your remark on the "organic forms"... I don't feel alone in the mountains, even when there are only stones

Re: cold lightshow

many thanks Aaro, maybe in Finland you find these conditions a lot of times, or maybe not because of the snow...
