Wow! That's CRAZY!

I didn't realize Hasselblad had financial problems. I guess that makes sense though. I wonder how Leica is doing.

I'm thinking we'll see a version of the most expensive DJI drones that will come with new, miniature Hasselblad cameras, with Hasselblad branded lenses.

That will make DJI an even bigger player and harder to compete against . . . and no doubt they are planning to go up-market, since the competition is surely getting really fierce in the low-end drone market. Surely GoPro is giving them a run for the money now, and those things are made by FoxCon, the Chinese electronics manufacturing giant that makes the iPhone.

Thank for the heads-up, Mike.

That is an excellent article by Kevin Raber. Deeply sobering too.

I hope DJI have enough sense to continue to honour the hallowed Hasselblad name. It would be a pity to see customer service crumble again.

If Kevin is right it sounds like the new camera needs the cash and stability to help build up the company again, I cannot imagine they acquired the company to see the brand go down at this point.

Manufacturers who make products that create the sort of brand loyalty Hasselblad has is not a trivial matter. I wish them well.

I'm wondering if Sigma and Hasselblad ever considered joining forces. They each have some excellent , innovative products.

Wasn't there a Hasselblad-Sony association? Hasselblad Lunar?

... = Fiat Chrysler... Imho life can go on, not necissarily for the worse. I'd rather have flying Blads than possible no Blads at all.

Best,
