Hey everyone! Happy New Year! Just wondering if anyone has got any L-bracket that fits SdQ as it seems like there's none specially made for this model. Thanks loads!

Hello KapsWell:

Good-Luck finding one, and any input here.

I posted within a thread LONG AGO, asking for any possibility of a "L Bracket" for the Sigma SD1M (Merrill).

Never received any replies.

Have a nice day / evening -

There is no custom one that I know of.  I am using an MPU100 - inexpensive and works fine although I don't know ifit would work with the vertical grip.  Prices on EBAY start at a little under $5.00 US with free shipping.  It is Arca-Swiss type.

The big disadvantage is that there is no lip on the  mount to prevent the camera from twisting.  With heavier lenses this might be a problem but it seems to me it was more of an issue with the Merrill than the Quattro.  In any case, until a custom one comes out this is a reasonable choice.

I posted this awhile ago about an orphaned L plate that I use with the sdQ. Still use it and works fine in both portrait and landscape mode.

A universal Pro Media Gear L bracket seems to work well.

The RRS MC-L, universal, but just fit sdq/h like a custom L bracket, don't block the shutter release hole.

Wow, that's almost a perfect fit. Link to the RRS that was posted.

Re: L-bracket for SdQ

Thank you everyone for your feedback! Perhaps ill just go for MPU100 for the time being as RRS seems to blocked some of the ports. Thanks!

The RRS won't block the ports and it has a rim just fit the body back plane keeping it's position, the mpu100 don't have the rim.

Re: L-bracket for SdQ

Someone uses a L Bracket Finding Nodal Point And Using Focus Rail ?
maybe a L bracket 8 or 8.5 mm high?
From what I see, the Canon R7 has similar measurements to the Quattro.
Thanks
