I have always tested any new camera kit I get to check its performance against the manufacturers claims, and also to learn it strengths and weaknesses for my intended purposes. I know the agonising that goes on when we are trying to decide whether to purchase something or not, so I have decided to publish my own findings online just in case it may help some of you (I hope there is not to many typos!!!)...
Olympus 75-300Mk2 lens - On Panasonic GX7 and GX8:
Two years ago I did a report on the Olympus 75-300Mk2 lens which impressed me a lot at the time. However I have since had the chance to test it in many situations and against newer exotic and far more expensive lenses, so have added updates and some new photo examples.

If you require a high quality long zoom lens which will not weigh you down, I hope you find my long term report the Olympus 75-300 Mk2 lens useful.

Olympus 40-150 F2.8 Pro lens - On Panasonic GX7 and GX8:
I also very thoroughly checked out this expensive beast when I first got it, but have only just finished my - possibly rather strange and - detailed user test report on the Olympus 40-150 F2.8 Pro lens.

If anyone is considering whether to spend big bucks buying one, it may well be worth checking out my findings and conclusion first.

PS. I have also been evaluating the Panasonic 100-400 in practical usage for many months now and it is no secret that I have a love-hate relationship using it. However it has been quite complicated drawing definite conclusions regarding its overall performance and I have had to 'invent' many tests to try and eliminate user error from the equation (many things can affect photographs when shooting at the FF equivalent of 800mm zoom).
However my findings are almost completed and hopefully a full test report will be posted on this ultra long zoom in the next few weeks.
Many thanks for reading
