Bought a Bnew Cheap Samsung EX2F.

Hi,

Just bought a new no box Cheap Samsung EX2F. Tested the camera and everything's seem in order and fine. The problem is it does not include the disk.  Can somebody point me to the right direction where to download the software and maybe upgrade the last firmware?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Kenneth

Hi Kenneth, you have bought a very nice camera, and hopefully got it at a bargain price.

I've owned two EX1s, and never bothered with the Samsung software. I simply connect the camera to the computer, and transfer over my picture files to the PC for processing.  I use the free Adobe DNG converter, and then ACR/Photoshop.

I can't comment on the Firmware situation as I don't have an EX2.

RawTherapee and Darktable are two free and open source software projects that can process the EX2F raws.  (Note, no version of Darktable for Windows. .. it's an awesome program though, I would dual boot a Linux distribution just for Darktable).

Wish I came across this camera cheap, I caught on too late and their rarity seems to be keeping prices up.

Hi Peadingle, Thank you very much for the inputs. Will try to use Adobe DNG Converter. This camera is fine little Gem. Really loving it. Very portable and just bring a 5000mah Powerbank and will get you thru the day.

This will be on my bag everyday.

Happy New Year!

I bought a cheapo charger and two spare batteries, but have only once of twice needed to change batteries on a long shoot. The batteries are so small I don't even notice them in a pocket. And yes, the real beauty of the EXs is being able to carry it with you all the time.

Happy New Year to you to.
