Olympus E-PL6 - 1/8 sec anti-shock for low light?

I've been scouring the forum and it seems like the best practice for the E-PL5 and E-PL6 when using low shutter speeds (about 1/50 sec) is to enable the 1/8-second anti-shock and keep the IBIS turned off.  Is that correct?
I'm going to be photographing a fair bit of family photos this Christmas in indoor settings with crappy lighting.

hopefully you will get more replies than this one coming from me as I don't consider myself as an "expert", however, I own first generation (E-PL1,E-P3) and second generation Oly camera (E-PL5 and recently acquired E-PL7); you will easily find on the web that your E-PL6 (which is basically an E-PL5 plus some minor addings) has the IBIS system which belongs to the firts gen Oly m43s which is considered very rudimental and not much effective to the extent that many people leaves it permanently off. Based on my experience with the E-PL5, I leave it on (unless I'm usig a tripod) and yes, I also use the 1/8s shutter delay, but what I can say now that I have the E-PL7 (3 axis Ibis inherited from the E-M10 MkI) is that its ibis system is world apart compared to the E-PL5 so, if you are going at 1/50s the chances to get good results with still subjects is to shoot with FL <= 25 mm. In your shoes, I would try with some test shots under the same condition and IBIS ON/OF and see what comes out (becasue it depends also on yout shooting tecnique). With the E-PL5 I choosen to leave it ON and to enable the 1/8s anti shock but once I tried the E-PL7 I noticed a big difference and a good gain with the 3 axis ibis.

On a positive notes, the E-PL5 (hence also the E-PL6) is one of the best m43 high iso perfomers so that, to my tastes, I used it up to iso 3200 without worries and this may turn useful with low shutter speed.

No experience with the E-PL6 but I would definitely use 1/8 sec anti-shock with any Olympus camera that does not offer 0-sec anti-shock, and I would leave IBIS on. The E-PL6 may not have an advanced IBIS like newer or higher end cameras but every bit of IBIS helps, especially in combination with the anti-shock.
