Snowstorm in Portland, Maine!

It wasn't a very big snowstorm--only about 6 inches all told, but it was very pretty--looked like we were in a snow globe yesterday!  I didn't do a good job of getting any of the snow flakes to stand still--it was too cold and the snow was getting all over the camera by the time I got to the places I wanted to photograph to really experiment. . .  But some shots of Portland's Deering Oaks Park, and one of the beautiful Victorian row houses on Park Street in Portland.

Cynthia, nice job. Number 2 I like!! It would REALLY be great had it been a night time shot with the street lights glowing. That would be a really big snow down here in East Tn.:-D

Thanks Tom!  That's my big idea too so I will be going back when we get Night snow.  It was only during the day that we got snow and we got freezing rain in the evening sadly... cindy

Our storm came through a few days ago and left a couple inches. The main impact was after. Yesterday I woke up to -17F (not counting wind chill).

Does it stay pretty warm there in the winter, also, relatively speaking?  Do you live right on the coast, as I do?  I mean, I don't live on the beach or anything, but I live within a mile of the ocean. . .  Cindy
