nx30 "check the lens" when shooting manual trying to use smart connect

So as the title says I have a lot of manual focus lenses that I've adapted to use with my nx30. I can't use the smart function to send the photo to my phone though because everytime I try to enable autoshare it causes it to say "check the lens".

I know it's functional though without an nx compatible lens, cause I can put the kit lens on the camera, enable autoshare, then take it off, and then put a manual lens back on, and I can shoot and it will still send photos to my phone in that case...so does anyone know a way to disable this stupid message that is really irratating and disabling one of the primary reasons for me to shoot nx cameras at all vs my nikons or canons or sony's?

When I turn the camera off after I've switched lenses it asks me if I want autoshare on, and then faults out to check the lens again...so I thought I had it functional in a way that would work but I would have to switch lenses everytime I want to autoshare which is just bs.

Is there a "release without lens" on the DEV menu option, or something? I am not sure if that helps, and if it is possible to run the DEV menu on NX30.

Oh the thought that there's a hidden developer menu on the nx30 hadn't occured to me. I see a video on the nx10..by pressing a series of keys, but not sure which ones..let me research that.

You're right though apparently there is a flag for this in the developer menu, but I can't find a way to access it for firmware 1.31.

I am not familiar with the camera, can you search for the NX300 DEV menu and see if it works? They should be similar gemeration cameras.

Check the lens when shooting manual

1) Create a text file as follows: file name: nx_dev.adj file content: "smart_camera"

no carriage return, no nothing except the string no the quotes

File length should be exactly 12 bytes.

2) Place this file nx_dev.adj on the root of an SD card and put the card in your camera.

3) Make sure camera is on AUTO .

Power on the camera.

4) Press, in succession:

down, OK,up, OK, right,

press and hold the exposure compensation button,

press and release OK, and release the exposure compensation button.

Now you should see the new menu on the screen.

Go to "2. SYSTEM PARAMETER" (press OK)

5) DISABLE MOVIE REC LIMIT v

6) NO LENS RELEASE ENABLE v

MENU back

Go to "3. ADJUSTMENT CONTROL" (press OK)

and from there, to "(6) Adjust Result" (Press OK).

There you should see "Shutter Release Count:" xxxx with the number of actuations.
