Nice idea.  Sadly from my point of view, though, it looks like it is US only.  Good start, nevertheless!

Well.. PF is an American based website, much like DPR, even though they welcome international members. So what did you honestly expect?

Besides, it seems support in the US is really awful compared to other places in the world. So they need as much help turning the Pentax ship around as they can.

• Questions about warranty / repairs at authorized service centers
• Questions about accessories and compatibility
• Questions about authorized dealers
• Basic troubleshooting issues
• Feedback regarding your experience with a product or service

DPReview was sold to Amazon in 2007, and subsequently moved to U.S. in 2010.

Roland, the posts on that thread fully support your hypothesis!!! (Except for mine of course! )

Unfortunately, no questions actually get answered, all posts get a cut-and-paste reply from the supposed Pentax person (who I think is actually some 14 year old locked in his bedroom, masquerading as the voice of Ricoh) to the effect that he/she will bring the matter up at the next meeting.

Of course, I don't believe that. But, you insulting BigRed is completely uncalled for and childish. Just FYI, a Ricoh Imaging employee posting on a forum has no decisional power whatsoever, and must be very careful what he's writing. He would never say "OK, I'll tell the developers to start working on the feature you're requesting" - without being fired, I mean. Some questions/requests cannot be answered (for the example, the one about repairing SDM lenses forever). And the section is what, 2 days old?

The important thing about that section is that our feedback is sent to Ricoh Imaging (hopefully, reaching Japan).
