My NX1 lens mount is "fixed (!!??)" and Teatown project update

If you remember back to the Spring of 2015, we had a major discussion going on around here (and on other forums around the net) about how NX lenses did not fit properly to many NX1 cameras, mine included. There was slight rotational play without a good solid seating. Those of us who had the play just learned to live with it because, although annoying, actual image taking showed there was no discernible effect on the quality of those images. The one thing that did continue to annoy me however was the play caused a slight ticking sound while walking with the heavy 50-150 f/2.8 S lens attached to the camera while hung around my neck (though the 16-50mm f/2.0-2.8 S didn't produce the same sound.)
Fast forward to my hike on Thursday in the very quiet solitude of early morning Nature on the Reservation. The NX1 with 50-150 S was hung around my neck as I walked along, when I unexpectedly noticed something. There was no clicking sound. I grabbed the camera and lens in two hands to check the rotational play of the lens. There was none!!! I started thinking if I had noticed it before on recent hikes in the quiet of Nature, but couldn't remember when (or if) it changed to "fixed" or me just being used to it earlier. So I took the lens off the camera, re-seated it and walked further. Still no clicking sound, and still no rotational play. It's now 2 days later and it's still "fixed".
Of course I also checked the 16-50 S, which always had less play than the 50-150 S, and here's the reason for the (!!??) in the title. That lens still has a minimal amount of play. But the 50-150 S no longer does, and although I haven't performed any precise new measurements like I did in my original thread, I'm a happy camper.
By the way, the day didn't stay so quiet. We had a few inches of rain the prior two days and as I made my way closer to what is usually a babbling brook north of Teatown Lake, it was no longer so quiet. It did however make for some nice late Autumn landscapes of water and downed leaves which you can find here and here . You can almost hear the rushing water in the images.
If we don't get any snow between now and the Winter Solstice, these may be the last images in my 2016 Autumn Portrait of the habitats of Teatown. I look forward to Winter starting to complete the first year of my seasonal project there. The first 3 seasonal galleries are up on my website and the full screen slideshows ( gray >Slideshow button) have musical backgrounds. They cover the habitats from the earliest days of each season evolving through the end. If you'd like to see them (all taken with the NX1, 16-50 S, 50-150S and 60 macro), here are the links to the slideshows (click the 4 arrow symbol in the upper right to go from browser full screen to monitor full screen):
Spring (45 images) (Note also includes Canon 100-400mm L on NX1)
Summer (20 images)
Autumn (35 images)
Of course, the link to the whole project including wildlife and events is in my signature below. I hope you enjoy my hikes around the habitats of the Reservation and comments are welcome.
