Samyang 7.5mm problems with E-M5ii

Hi there,

I have an E-M5ii and I've just borrowed the Samyang 7.5 from a friend. I actually used to own this lens when I had an E-P5 and it worked fine.

However, on the E-M5ii the IS isn't working at all. The image is steady until I half press the shutter. When I do press it the image starts jumping all over the place.

Any ideas?

Have you set the correct focal lenght?

With a manual lens, you have to set it by yourself for it to work properly (in the IS menu).

BTW: Panasonic has a clever implementation on this problem. Camera asks if the IS focal lenght is correct when turning camera on with a manual lens.

You see things, not as they are, but as you are.
