Hidden 4K video feature in a5100 a6000

Hi

I was browsing in my a5100's linux system folders and i found some 4K video firmware files.

What are they meaning?

You can play back pictures in 4K to a 4K TV via the HDMI output. I bet it is related to that feature.

Men, playback settings, second subtab shows "4K Still Image PB".

I think "dualrec" or "mov" words are related to video recording, not HDMI.

You are right .bin files usually are executables or something that can be loaded and not movie files.

maybe there someone can test or check if it is possible to use in some way these files and maybe record in 4k.
