Why my Panasonic 14-42 lens has very narrow field of view on my E-PM2 ?

I started getting into micro 4/3 with a Panasonic GF3 which came with a Panasonic 14-42 kit lens.  When I set the lens at the wide end at 14mm, I could capture a pretty wide view.   I just got a used Olympus E-PM2 and added my Panasonic 14-42 to it, but the field of view is significantly narrower than before, almost 50% of what I could see with my GF3.

In the E-PM2, there is a Scene mode called "Wide Angle" which is meant for Olympus wide angle lenses.  When I switched to this Wide Angle mode with my Panasonic kit lens, I got the same field of view on E-PM2 as I have with GF3, but this mode has very limited control ability.

I have already updated my E-PM2 to the latest firmware.   What am i doing wrong ?   Appreciate any insights.  Thanks

I used the E-PM2 intensively for a while. Loved the camera.

I can't think of any setting that could crop the frame. Are you talking about stills or video ? I never shot videos with it but some IS settings on Olympus cameras does crop the frame significantly in video.

As a side note, the best advice I can give you for using this camera with great results: Don't ever ever EVER use the built in image stabilisation. It somehow managed to insure you get no sharp photos at all, at any setting.

Could digital zoom ('digital teleconverter') be on?

That's the only thing I can think of which would cause such a dramatic difference.

I remember the first time I hit the digital zoom button by accident on the em1.   I thought something was defective until I figured out what I had done.
