Nx16-50 ois lens disassembly

Does anyone have instructions about disassembling the lens?

When reaching both the beginning and  end of the zoom lenght I can hear some noise and feel some vibrations.

Thanks

I was not brave enough to go deeper

Actually I didn't know how to 100% safely disconnect the orange ribbon connectors

I did tear down my lens for you but only had time to get most of the way but it should be enough to blow out anything stuck in the gearing.

use a tooth pick to gently pull at the tabs on each side of the ribbon where it connect.

There is another ribbon under the board so be gentle when removing it.

From here you can see the gearing and should be able to blow out any obstructions but do not use caned air since it will leave a residue and wouldn't advise a compressor because of the force it has. I would use a lens rubber blower.

Hope this helps.

Re: Nx16-50 ois lens disassembly

Hello.
I recently bought an nx500 with a 16-50 kit lens and a 50-200. knowing that I mainly use this device with m42 while manual, and my fuji apsc for other work.
the 16-50 made cracking noises when I received it, with error 00, then it "unlocked" and works a priori correctly.
except that the focus is not done well, there is always a little blur, regardless of the parameters used, and even in manual focus, it's really not that.
also, I am dismantling it as seen above, I also removed the zoom motor. but I cannot remove the lens block, to see if there is not an off-center lens. could you tell me how to do it? I didn't find a screw on the front lens side, I can't remove the plastic or it says "16-50mm powerzoom".

Thanks for your help

I've had the 16-50pz lens down to its individual components before, and I don't suggest it. The lens consists of 3 parts, the body of the lens, the barrel of the lens which extends, and a piece that joins the two and moves with the barrel. It is prone to damage, as the assembly is plastic, and causes issues with lens not retracting, overextending, etc. The plastic channels that the lens moves within wear down from use (and never seem to have any grease left). I have a lens that is completely locked up right now that I used for parts, but I don't think I can get it apart to show you, and don't want to take apart my working lens again since it is a huge pain to line up the 3 pieces. Basically the middle piece has two channels, one for the body side and one for the extending barrel, and it rotates as the lens zooms, pushing itself away from the body, while also extending the barrel (which then comes back closer to the body at the long end). If you really want though I can try to take a quick video tonight showing how it works.

Re: Nx16-50 ois lens disassembly

Hello

Thank you for your answer.
I made photos of where I arrived for the dismantling currently.
my lens slides now correctly, no problem, it no longer makes suspicious noise and autofocus normally.
on the other hand, once I look at the result on a photo, there remains a blur on the subject. so I took it apart again, because I think it is a lens that is a bit off-center.
so I dismantled everything as you can see in the photos, but I can't go any further and access the lenses. I removed the frame, the plastic rings, the small zoom motor, the electronic card by disconnecting the cables, but I am blocked at this level...

my lens can not be used anyway, I disassembled and reassembled 3 times, it behaves very well on reassembly, except the lack of sharpness on the photos.
also, as it is "screwed up", as much as I try to dismantle it entirely.
I hope you can help me. tell me what I need to unscrew to take out the lens group. are there any screws to remove on the front of the lens?
thank you in advance, have a nice day

i uploaded some photo on my gallery, but, here, it's a link with all photo of my lens for now. it's full size photos, you can clic and clic again to expand.

from there, you need to remove the trim ring on the FRONT of the lens. The piece of plastic butted up to the focus ring comes off (with effort). Then the elements are free to come out the front, away from the outer casing. The ring is just pressed in from the front but it is in tight.

Re: Nx16-50 ois lens disassembly

hello, and thank you again for your response.

before making a disaster, I would like to be on what piece of plastic you are talking about I put a photo with arrows, what piece of plastic I should try to transfer? as you can see on the photo, I tried to remove the one designated in yellow, but without succeeding.
for red, I also vaguely tried, but there is no place to grab the edge of the ring to remove it.

I'm sorry if I don't understand quickly lol, I must be a bit slowed down

thank you again, i hope you could again help me to confirm what plastic i must remove !

have a nice day

Neither of those. It is the one outside the red. It is pressed into the outer casing. Let me get a photo.

Re: Nx16-50 ois lens disassembly

thank you very much for the pictures.
I finally succeeded suddenly, but unfortunately everything came suddenly, in several pieces lol. so now i'm going to try to put everything together, but it might be really difficult ...
thanks again !!

here it's a photo's result

Re: Nx16-50 ois lens disassembly

It's a pain to put together. If I recall, you basically have to assemble 3 pieces together, so like you put pieces 1 2 and 3 together at once, rather than piece one with two, then 12 assembly with 3 if thst makes sense. So to do thst, you have to have two pieces halfway together, then add the next piece before finishing the first two.

Re: Nx16-50 ois lens disassembly

yes, it's really very painful. it was much easier with my old lenses like helios
so I went to put the whole back in the cord, but I can't do it. Besides, that's why everything came suddenly, it was blocked.
so I can not put the lens group assembled in the body .... arf, it's really not simple

You're almost there. You insert from the front of the body as it came out. But to do so, the assembly (the three pieces Grouped together) need to be semi extended in order for the two components that line up with the body to align correctly. All the parts need to move together. Once you line up the tabs, it will all slide in smoothly just as if you were turning the camera off and the lens retracts.

Re: Nx16-50 ois lens disassembly

thank you very much. I lack light this evening, I don't see anything anymore (or so it's the age that makes itself felt :-)), so I put it aside and I would test it as you explained it to me as soon as tomorrow !! and I would come back to tell you, of course, if I succeeded!
thanks again

Re: Nx16-50 ois lens disassembly

Hello.
I come back just to say that I hadn't realized, but two of the three small plastic pieces that guide one of the parts of the lens were broken, which meant that it could not be guided correctly. suddenly, unfortunately, it is the end of life of this objective I still have to try to find another, but it is not easy at all to find, in any case in France.
thanks again for taking the time to help me.
good day to you

Hi!

I tried this disassembly, but managed to break one of the orange ribbon connectors. Does any of you know if its possible to bye this as a spear part somewhere?
