I honestly don't see a need for it in your setup, the 70-200 II is absolutely incredible already.

I'd save that money for something really amazing that comes out (or already is out) that catches your eye.

this review has been a good reminder...

very good review!!

its so easy to just use the 70-200mm 2.8 as a matter of convenience. i own the 135mm but hardly ever use it if I'm on a run and gun shoot. this review is a reminder that i should force myself to pick it up more often and when i have the time to move myself to frame the shot rather than use the easier 70-200mm.

the difference between 2.8 vs 2.0 is pretty significant. i also have an old canon 200mm 1.8 which is another lens i often don't use over the 70-200mm 2.8. the 200mm 1.8 is huge and heavy but shallow DOF is quite dramatic vs the zoom@ 2.8.

this review has got me thinking again about my other eccentric primes that I'm going to have to start bringing them along on shoots again.
