Maximum 1600 ISO in iAuto mode?

Generally, I am very happy with this camera, but I have bumped into a very annoying limitation. In iAuto mode the maximal ISO is 1600. In P/A/S/M mode it can easily go higher, because I have set under the option "ISO Auto Set" the "High Limit" to 6400. Is there any way to solve this in iAuto, too?

I would not use iauto mode or equiv , however nor would I dream of shooting m43 over 1600ISO

Re: Maximum 1600 ISO in iAuto mode?

I'm pretty sure that ISO 1600 max is a built-in limitation of iAuto mode.  It certainly seems that way on my E-M10.

If you want to hand over control of exposure to the camera and use a higher ISO, you'll need to use P mode.

Cheers

If you use Pany camera, iAuto could be selected by the camera to a upper limited of ISO3200 (flash=ISO1600). It is the same for GF7, GX7, GX85, GX8 etc.

Thank you for your replies. Otherwise, I usually use P mode, but when I take photos in the garden, family etc... (not serious subjects) iAuto is helpful that I don't even have to set the ISO.

By the way the camera is an Olympus E-PL6...
