K-H.
Same here - I still have F29 for 90mm and F32 for 135mm. But a) I shoot the initializing lens ID shot in M mode, then switch to S mode and ignore what the f setting in the EVF says, I will try what you suggest ( shoot ID exposure than move to f2.
What mode to you initialize and then shoot in?
Very interesting, thank you for checking. Apparently I have a problem with either my adapter or the camera or perhaps a setting that needs to be changed. I have tried both M and A modes. with ILCE-7RM2 Ver. 3.20, Lens Ver.03 . When I change aperture from F11, I see F11, F13, F16, F19, F22, F27, F32 , F38, F45, F54, F64, F76 and F90 .
F29 and other useful settings such as F40 are not available.
I did try powering off and removing the lens with only the adapter installed and was surprised to see all the F settings available! Unfortunately I have not been able to duplicate since and now only the limited settings shown above are available, with or without the lens installed.
I do not have a problem selecting the full range of aperture with any of my FE lens (limited to F22), therefore it would seem to be a problem with the adapter or perhaps a menu setting causing some of the aperture settings to not display.
I can use my CV 90mm by initializing at F22 in either M or A mode but of course it shows 35mm in the exif.
Not sure if related to the aperture issue, but quite often I receive green light focus confirmation on an object in the foreground with actual focus well behind the focal point. Perhaps this is also a problem with my adapter.
Returning the adapter for repair or exchange will probably take months so I will continue to try different menu settings or perhaps wait for another firmware update. I really want this to work as the CV 15mm, 40mm Heliar and 90mm are great travel lens with the A7RII.
Thanks again for your response.
