remote control for Canon EOS M10

I know that smartphone can be used, but how to use it. Could anybody be more specific?

(How to setup camera that smartphone can trigger shutter and what app is the best for this job). I have tried my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 with no luck. May be I was doing something wrong.

Canon Camera Connect works for sure, but only tried that one, no other apps. I tapped the phone and the camera by NFC and everything was automatic. My phone is a Samsung SGS5 mini with android 5.1.1.

Re: remote control for Canon EOS M10

You must download the Canon Camera Connect app into your phone.

1. If you are on a network, open the Canon Camera Connect app in your phone (wifi needs to be on). press the Mobile Device Connection Button on the side of your camera first. Then in your camera, choose the wifi connection that is available. Choose your phone as a target device. Then it is connected. You can copy images from your camera to your phone or use your phone as a remote control.

2. You can also connect your phone to your camera without being on a network.

Your camera has its own wifi signal. You press the Mobile Device Connection Button on the side of your camera first. Then the wifi list on your phone, choose the Canon M10 wifi, then enter the password given by your camera into your phone.

Then open the app.

You are connected.
