Just for fun, pana 14-140 vs oly 40-150 f2.8

Nothing scientific... and not trying to prove a point... just two similar shots of the same subject with two different lenses (and camera's).

GX7 + Pana 14-140 f3.5. Overcast day, against a watery sun.

Oly e-m10 + Oly 40-150mm f2.8. Overcast day as well, no sun at all.

Circumstances not really comparable, but it gives you an idea of the capabilities of these lenses. The pana did better then I expected!

I can't comment on the P 14-140, I don't have it, because of my prejudice against travel zooms.

But there are worlds between these pictures. However, Olympus is known for more default sharpening, so it would be nice to see the pictures taken with the same body. Maybe the Pana lens is even better than it shows here.
