NX1 and 50-150S zoom for Band venues.

The lens is very sharp, and the zoom range is goes from closeups to mid range frames. The OIS and DIS provides almost tripod like steadiness.

Audio: Keep your levels to around 3 out of 10 and on automatic, or the peaks will clip... especially when you are about 10 - 15 feet from the speakers.

For quiet dialogue I usually keep the level at around 7.

When focus is locked in, it rarely drifts.

I am starting to like using the master pedestal at +8 and adjusting for contrast in post.

This came out really nice. How far away from the stage were you actually? Was this also just handheld?

Hi Alex

I'm pretty sure I was at around 20 feet away.  15 feet  at closest.

The OIS on the  S zoom lens was on as was DIS in the NX1.

The steadyness is almost tripod like.

Of course, the OIS makes it tricky to do smooth pans, as it assumes the pan is an unwanted movement, but generally it isn't noticeable.
