"Sick cultures show a complex of symptoms such as you have named...but a dying culture invariable exhibits personal rudeness. Bad manners. Lack of consideration for others in minor matters. A loss of politeness, of gentle manners is more significant than a riot."
This symptom is especially serious in that an individual displaying it never thinks of it as a sign of ill health but as proof of his/her strength. ...Friday, it is too late to save this culture--this worldwide culture... Therefore we must now prepare the monasteries for the coming Dark Age. Electronic records are too fragile..."

The Camera is only a tool, photography is deciding how to use it.
The hardest part about capturing wildlife is not the photographing portion; it’s getting them to sign a model release

Further down the rabit hole

Now what is interesting is he is saying that this photo was also take with film camera and scanned with a Epson scanner.

this is the image

http://www.dpreview.com/challenges/Entry.aspx?ID=973320

Now what I am  have a hard time believing is that one would be able to obtain the same colors using a digital camera to convert that negative to digital as using a scanner , if you take a look at the red background they are a perfect match. I have scanned along side using a digital camera to convert negatives to digital and that is impossible to obtain that perfect color match.

...that the picture was taken on film  .

I'm sorry Ted !

Re: Further down the rabit hole

DigitalTed  posted proof that  the picture of "Snowy" was taken on the color slide film:

http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/1120305883/photos/3441222/agfa-ct18

I didn't notice , that the another proof :

http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/1120305883/photos/3441223/fp4

... are not negativies of the  picture from my original post (different cat, tripod).

There are actually  negativies of the  cat "Snowy" taken on b&w film.

I've always wanted to take a gag nose and put cement on it and stick it under a chair at Giants Stadium.

It is refreshing to see that someone on the internet will actually admit they were wrong.
