Micro adapter cards

I was curious if anyone has used a MicroSD card in a 450D?

Re: Micro adapter cards

Umm.... OK will thanks for so much for the information… Every time I put a micro card in my 450 D it tells me I cannot format it ?! Ok I will try again!

Re: Micro adapter cards

What  capacity is your Micro SD card? Is it higher than 32GB? Your camera will only take up to 32GB max. Anything higher is a different format.

A side note on the microSD to SD adapter. From my personal experience over the last 1.5 yearss with my adapters, they eventually stop working. I have had the cheap plastic welds on the adapters start breaking from repeated handling from the camera to the computer and back again resulting in erratic operation and on and off failure to work in the camera. I have also seen one develop corrosion as the thin gold plating wears off.

Other people suggested not using the cards to transfer data to the computer and use only a USB cord to the camera. Eventually that will also wear out. I would rather replace a cheap adapter than a USB connector in the camera.

Yes from time to time though not as the main card - it usually is in my phone.

If I suspect problems with a card I use the official formatter from https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ as a starting point.

Re: Micro adapter cards

That is very helpful information thank you… My biggest obstacle is that I don't have a laptop or desktop I only have a galaxy tablet so I'm trying to figure out how to transfer my photos from my camera to the tablet the easiest way possible 🤔😐

Don't have a Galaxy to test - but isn't there a camera connection kit from Samsung specifically to allow this?
