New Test for TZ100/101

http://www.digitalkamera.de/Testbericht/Panasonic_Lumix_DMC-TZ101/9890.aspx

A good and honest review where everybody can see if the TZ100/101 is the desired travel camera.

The test ist available only in german, but you can translate it with an automatich translation.

It's not the best "prose", I agree, but better than nothing.

Have a pleasent reading!

Danke Schon,

Their biggest complaint seems to be the slippery front grip.  I noted that the other German review site, CHIP.de also rated it very high, placing it 4th overall in their list of P&S cameras and with very good marks for resolution, expert panel ratings, contrast, and dynamic range.

A good and honest review where everybody can see if the TZ100/101 is the desired travel camera.

Thanks for posting Christian.

That review is a fair summary of the camera's best and not-so-good features.

Best: The concept and the fact that Panasonic has managed to somehow squeeze a 'one inch' sensor, 10x zoom, EVF and decent functionality into a camera which fits into a small belt pouch   (for instance Lowe Pro Portland 20). A few years ago a camera like this would have been impossible to realise.

The not-so-good:  No proper handle, no thumb support, less-than-wonderful lens quality  at the edges and as it is zoomed out.

It would be nice if the EVF were larger and the monitor fully articulated but both these things would make the camera larger and more expensive.

Does anyone know what is 'blendeneinstellmoglichkeiten' ? Google translate baulked at that one.  Is it the equivalent of 'bokeh' ?

Hi Andrew

This means the "possibilities to set the aperture".
