LG G5 film emulations (provided camera app)

The camera app provided with the LG G5 offers nine film emulations. My impressions of the emulations are followed by sample ColorChecker shots. These were all taken with the LED illuminator so that lighting would be fairly uniform between shots. These are close-up shots, and some pincushioning is obvious.

G5 film emulations:

  1. Increased saturation with blue shadows. Also shifts darker skin toward purple, so probably not a good choice for that.
  2. Brighter with decreased saturation.
  3. Decreased saturation, shift toward cyan in the darker areas gives a slight cool shift. Might be good for portraits.
  4. Washed-out saturation, gray shadows, overall warm shift, "vintage" look.
  5. Sepia.
  6. Split-toned, yellowish in highlights and purplish in shadows.
  7. B&W - standard.
  8. B&W - reduced contrast.
  9. B&W - strong contrast.

The B&W emulations aren't quite pure B&W -- inexplicably, there is a bit of warm shift to them.
