I agree, a longer lens with similar quality would be very, very interesting indeed.  Very hard for me to resist.

Yep-- and it looks like I need to take mine to the beach too

Re: Great Landscape example.

Ha! Yes, birding is fun, but not my main goal most of the time.  There are some hummingbirds that live in a tree outside of our house 6 weeks of the year, and I think I already have the shot I need:

Unquestionably one of my favourite lenses in the m43 series; not only is image quality top notch, the lens build is top-rate as well with nicely dampened focus ring, solid, all metal body feel, and just the right balance when mounted on the E-M5 MKII body.

Great sample shots too!

The 75mm is one of my favorite prime lenses. Solid build, excellent optics and looks good on the camera, too!

That first photo of the Eastern Sierra looks familiar, did you take it while moving along HWY395? I took this one out of the window of a moving car (wife was driving) - it looks like I was about 100 feet in front of where you were... I used the 12-40mm 2.8 lens @40mm for my shot. I really like your framing and composition.

Yep, you got it-- my wife was driving, I was shooting out the side with a polarizer on at f/2.8.

Here's another one taken out of the window of a speeding car with the same lens:

75mm at f/2.8 shot from the window of a car on the 395.

I did the same thing with the sigma dp2q, but the camera just wasn't as responsive.  The only real keeper was this one:

I will say this, though, the sigma's print really nicely; I printed that one at 26 by 13 inches.  I haven't yet seen what the Oly prints will look like-- I'm gonna shoot for 18x24, because I feel ambitious.

Yeah, I agree-- the lens construction really is a thing of beauty.
