Re: Solution for ND-Filters on Canon's 11-24 F4/Canon 8-15 F4 Fisheye

Hi there,

This solution for ND filters is great, I have the Canon 11-24 f4 does any one know if Knight Optical or any other supplier has  CPL gels, and will it work in the rear of the lens ?

Any solution for GND filters ? ( I realise there would be times lining up the horizon would be problematic using GND.

Thanks in advance

I was recently looking for filter solutions for my 11-24 and came across glass nd filters for the rear holder. This was attractive to me as I didn’t relish the iq of a plastic filter.

The mfg was Aurora and it is handled by B&H. However in online tests there were focus issues when using the 10 stop filter. Evidently the additional filter on the rear would effect the focussing distance so it had to be preset.  When you utilize a 10 stop rear gel, what is your shoot process?

Oh, because I also utilize a cpl I still required a front filter holder so ended up with the Wonderpana.

I was informed that Breakthrough Photography are also working on a filter system for the 11-24 identical to the WonderPana solution. I will wait for that to come out and upgrade my rear-insert filter kit then.
