sx420

Just came back trip from Japan, and my purpose of visit to Japan was to get this bridge camera. I did take some few test shots realize that it only works best in ISO 100. At ISO above 400, I started to see some noises on background, and I will probably not normally use above ISO100. Most on trip, I use Fuji X30, and this is far most way better camera, but I wanted to give it a try this on low end budget camera. Does anyone knows reasons why I see a purple vertical line on LCD screen? Is this because of CCD sensor ? If you're concern about this, I would suggest get a CMOS version, but this SX420IS is very portable and compact. sx420 is probably the most smallest, pocketable enough to fit on big sizes jacket pocket available on the market right now and this is the probably only reason that is popular on the market. I think when technology meets, and image quality could be improved these bridge cameras will going to have bright future. but until then, I won't get another this low-end bridge camera.
